The Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), is conducting an open search across all research areas of this department to appoint outstanding scholars to tenure-track or fixed-term faculty positions.

NTNU is one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan with a total of 15,000 students, and is allied with National Taiwan University (NTU) and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). The Department is located at the NTNU campus in Heping Road, in the center of Taipei. The University has a long standing reputation for research in education, but has expanded its focus and grown its Engineering faculty significantly in recent years.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at NTNU currently has 17 full-time faculty members, offering a full range of both undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department has currently 80 graduate students and 190 undergraduate students.

Job Description:

1. Title:Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Electrical Engineering, NTNU.

2. Vacancy:only one position

3. Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer

Science/Computer Engineering from an accredited university. 

4. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of strong potential for developing and sustaining a multi-disciplinary

research program. Candidates should have demonstrated competency in teaching. Research and teaching

experience in the areas of “System-on-a-Chip (SoC), multimedia and communication, and intelligent control

and robotics” is desirable.

5. Responsibilities: Establish an outstanding research program. Attract external funding. Supervise students in

their research projects. Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.  Ability to teach a wide range

of courses in English is a plus.

(1) Curriculum Vitae, including all published or accepted publications and research grants as P.I. or co-P.I

(2) Autobiography

(3) Copy of certificate of degree and academic transcripts

(4) List of publications within the last five years

(5) Research achievements within the last five years

(6) At least two reference letters with name and contact information

(7) List of courses with syllabus that the candidate can teach

(8) Outlines of research plans and significant achievements

(9) Additional evidence related to teaching/research. (ex. awards, patents, …, etc.)
